If you fancy an instant update to your everyday look that will only take minutes and look trendy and stylish, without too much effort, then halo braids are the perfect hair makeover.

All you need is a few kirby grips and 5-10 minutes. To start the look, simply start a plait from behind the ear and work your way around the temples, taking hair from the face so the braid literally frames your face. It should go right round the top of your head, around the forehead.

When you get to the top of the head moving over to the other side, then simply plait in a normal way, without taking hair and clip the end of the plait where it ends. It can then be hidden with the other braid, which is done by repeating these steps starting a braid from the other ear and wrapping it over the other plait so that the end is hidden from view.

When the other plait is finished, pin it behind the first plait so you cannot see the ends and are left with a row of halo braids. It should look slightly undone, as this is the celeb way of doing it, rather than a super tight Heidi-style look!!! And there you have it, you can style the rest of your hair in waves as we have done, a messy side plait or a bun for an instant style makeover. Gorgeous!
